paying respects to the past efforts that brought me here
When the first inklings of a blog and/or ABCD (Ask a Black Creative to Discuss) creeped into my head, I was majorly inspired by my peers in college who were exploring their creative pursuits, mainly music. Indy was kind enough to grant me an interview!
It was very brief but I loved the visuals she provided and I wish I knew more about color gradients back then so the text would be easier to read. But everyone has to start somewhere!
I got my start interviewing people in high school when I joined the journalism team. My senior year, I became 1/4 Editors-in-Chief (let’s not talk about it besides acknowledging I was head of the Opinion section). How fitting, considering I was voted Most Likely to be a Talk Show Host in middle school. That’s so me, getting to the nitty gritty of/for real people.
Not a Video Vixen, but…
I guess I picked up a few things about video editing from all the TCOM (Telecommunications) majors I knew and all the days I spent day dreaming about making fanmade music videos and a dramedy webseries. Here is a combination of video projects made in college and the reels I’ve made for social media post-graduation.
